SCFM DELIVERS RESULTS
OUTCOME:
• Increased average flow by 200%
• Decreased HP/MM by 25%
The Customer Situation:
• Rented engine drive twin screws feeding engine drive four throw 3 stage recips discharging at 1400 psig
• 10 psig inlet
• Customer wanted to double the station capability to 12 MMSCFD from existing source
Challenges:
Customer wanted to reuse building space, increase efficiency and lower maintenance costs
The SCFM Solution:
• Identified availability of electric power
• Generated comparison of existing units with SCFM electric drive solution
• Replace engine drive units with electric motor drive twin screw feeding an electric motor drive single screw feeding an electric motor drive two stage six throw recip.
The Results:
• Increased capacity throughput of station by ≈ 200%
• Lowered the HP/MM by ≈25%
• Revenues increased by ≈ 200% while expenses increased by only ≈ 100%
• The maintenance cost reduction was achieved
• These numbers are based on the new units being purchased and financed over a 10 year period
• Once the 10 year loan was paid off, there would be on-going additional profit to the bottom line
