2011 Taste of Tulsa - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma
SCFM will be donating two custom metal
sculptures to the 2011 Taste of Tulsa, benefiting Big Brothers - Big Sisters. The 27th Annual Event will be held at the Tulsa Convention Center on January 29, 2011. More than 800 guests enjoy the evening featuring food from more than 45 of the area's finest restaurants, silent and live auctions, a wine pull, live music and dancing. All proceeds from this event support the Big Brothers - Big Sisters of Oklahoma vision of successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools and stronger communities for all.
SCFM staff from several departments worked together to come up with the
idea and design and then executed the plans by calling on the craftsmanship of our
shop technicians. It is a way to
combine the skill of our employees, and our pride in our company and our
industry, all of which are richly and historically linked with the city of Tulsa. SCFM asked it's skilled fabricators to create a special art piece that depicts our downtown skyline. The Skyline of Tulsa has been reproduced by using metal tubing, nuts, bolts and connectors to create a one-of-a-kind representation of our cityscape.
